Recorded at the Great American Music Hall in San Francisco, these 12 incendiary tracks feature Uilleann piper Todd Denman, Egyptian percussionist Reda Darwish, Gari Hegedus on oud & violin, & our band from the 2000-2002 period. The excitement & energy from both the band & the audience is very palpable throughout the 1 hour plus of music & mayhem & represents the band sound Sharon & Winter envisioned on their first CD. There are exciting versions of Lamplight, Kashlimar, & Word of Honor; 2 songs from that night’s Celtic set; the tail end of the bellydance performance by dancer Ishtara (backed by Reda Darwish on dumbek); & 5 new originals. Definitely a memorable night.
